My listing in Vancouver at 3106-1200 W. Georgia Street has sold in 2 weeks. In a fabulous highrise, the 2 bedroom/2 bath condo is located in the Residences on Georgia in the West End. I’ll definitely miss showing the suite as the views of Burrard Inlet and the Northshore are spectacular!
The West End is one of Canada’s most densely populated neighbourhoods. It’s no wonder, the scenery and lifestyle is incredible! Within walking distance to Stanley Park and English Bay all the while offering some of the finest restaurants and accommodation in the city, along with world famous Robson Street.
The neighbourhood is rich in history. Nicknamed the ‘Three Greenhorns’ due to the purchase of what was then considered remote land on the west coast, in 1862 a potter by the name of John Morton, along with associates Samuel Brighouse and William Hailstone, purchased District Lot 185, comprising 540 acres – which is what is now the entire West End. Cost: $550!
Much has changed in the West End since 1862 but its allure and appeal continues. It definitely is one of the most sought-after areas of the gorgeous City of Vancouver.
